Wildfire and 'what to do with my life'
It was a pleasure to have the company of the Wildfire Dance Theatre troup visiting Stratford. They came for Tuesday fireside and it was good fun, so I invited them to come back Wed eve for supper and we talked about Hope. With the topic we migrated to hope for our children (their children) and on to 'raising children', attachment theory and a Baha'i view. It was such a pleasant evening that the came again last night to talk about choosing a career.
What I had to say was that rather than try to figure out what they want to do with their lives, which by and large like most youth, they don't know, to think about what in the world needs to be done and which of those things might they be willing to do. They the question is what do I need to accomplish this. University, trade school, apprenticing all fit in here.
