Purpose of life

Purpose of life
The stages I've chosen are arbitrary, but birth seems easy, the acquistion of speech about age 2yrs, then rational thought around 7-8yr and finally 15yr for passing thru adolescence - though in our sociey, admittedly, it may be closer to 21 or even 25 years of age when that magical maturation spontaneously occurs.

Today we could even talk about Adultescense...

Our newest generation has implanted new ways of looking at developmental stages...
The reason I don't go into 'adultescence' in my presentation is because when I do, with a live audience, they forget all about the children and the essence of the model's purpose (Childhood Depression) and stick with (argue) about adults and in particular, about their own life's meaning or purpose, or lack there of. Often the think that I am judging them and get offended. So I try to stay away from the adult purpose of lfe. Just pragmatic.
Maybe in here we could find a somehow Frankl's developmental stages. How is the meaning of life in each of the stages...

Just an idea!
I'm not sure what you are referring to when you said 'in here'. I'm interested in conversing with you. Who are you btw?
I left my answer last night, but it seems something went wrong. Well, let me resume the whole thing.

My name is Sam and I am a bahá'í and a psychologist. My aim at the academic field is to create research (serious and academically acceptable) in the field of logotherapy, having made an attempt of integration between Frankl's model and Systemic approach.

That is why, after all these months I commented on these two posts. Because we cannot forget Frankl's thought on human existence. When I said "in here", I meant "in this concept": that is throught the concept of meaning/purpose of life that we may find a guideline to the possible developmental stages (the comments I left on the other post), according to logotherapeutic perspective.

I hope, from now on, we can keep a proactive and fruitful debate in some issues.
Thank you!
Hello Sam. August has gone by and we haven't talked. How are you? and what is new for you?
My wife and I were at the Alberta Summer School and at the ABS conference nearby in Mississauga. I was able to present on 'Depression in Children' using the approach you have seen in the slides here on VOX.
So I'm a happy man.
Hope to hear from you.
Now the personal comment :-)

I was hoping to hear from you, but didn't think you would answer here.
It was a kind of sad when, right after finding out about this blog, it disappears and you stop posting.

I'd really like to here more from you.

With friendship,
SAM
Hello again SAM. I'm looking forward to knowing more about you. Where do you live, are you persian, what kind of psychology do you do, are you in private practice or at a university?
Is SAM an acronym for your name or is it your first name italicized?
Be in touch,
Phil
Hey there!

Maybe we could keep our talks by email... My email is phoenixadaeternum[at]gmail[dot]com. It would
Hey there!

Maybe we could keep our talks by email... My email is phoenixadaeternum[at]gmail[dot]com. It would be nice to keep in touch with you, specially because I might not see that you have answered me in your blog, and take centuries to answer you back...

Well, anyways, I can answer your questions right now. I am persian-descendent graduated in psychology and with masters in family therapy (systemic approach), and with lots of logotherapy in me...

My name is Sam Cyrous, ergo that's only my first name capitalized.

Where in Canada are you from? I was thinking in getting to Ontario, but it seems that woun't be happening soon. Write me, and we could talk more, through email.

Take care, and have a nice begining of winter,
SAM
